Scoregasm, my forthcoming game, is well on track for being ready for the IGF submission date on November 1st I’d also like to enter Space Phallus. There is one slight problem though, i’m broke.

“But wait!”, I hear you say, “You’ve just released a new game, you must be rolling in huge piles of cash!”. Well, as much as I’d love this to be the case the unfortunate truth is quite the opposite. I had hoped that Bullet Candy Perfect would have paid the IGF entry fee, but I’ve had to give that money to the Gas and Water companies, who don’t see entering games into competitions as an excuse for not paying the rates. Spoil sports.

Because I don’t think i’ve said anything about it before, i doubt many of you will know what my working situation is. At one point, i was working full time writing games, unfortunately my monthly income gradually sunk to the point where I couldn’t afford to live and work on games full time. Earlier in the year I had to take on some part time maintenance work to cover the rent, which i do for a one and a half days a week. The rest of my time I spend writing games.

It’s certainly easier to get by now with the part time work, but it is still a hand-to-mouth situation in that i have very little money left over once i’ve paid bills and bought food.

So, getting back to the point, I’d really like to enter my games into the IGF this year, so I’m humbly asking for your help. If you’ve enjoyed any of my games over the last few years, or just want to help support indie games development through the IGF, then please make a donation via the button below.

The entry fee for each game is $95, so i’m hoping to raise twice that much to enter both games. Any contribution is greatly appreciated however

Donate $1 and you’ll get a copy of Bullet Candy Perfect

Donate $10 and you’ll get a copy of Scoregasm when it’s released

Donate $15 and you’ll get a copy of Scoregasm, and access to beta versions of the game before release (first beta will be available on 2nd November)

Donate $25 and you get a copy of Scoregasm, access to betas and your name in the credits of both games

I really shouldn’t help people enter games that will compete with my own game in that contest, as that’d lower chances even more, but I did anyway.

I donated 10 dollars. I enjoyed your bullet candy perfect game. I’m more supporting your efforts and your situation than anything. Although, I would like scoregasm too, but I figure one good act, hopefully leads to another.
